Brijendra Kala is an Indian actor and screenwriter who predominantly works in the Hindi film industry. Kala was born in Uttarakhand’s Sumari village. The actor is well known for portraying small roles grounded in reality. He gained recognition for acing minor roles in mainstream cinema with subtlety and perfect comic sense. Before taking up acting as a career, Kala had penned dialogues for various Hindi television shows that were produced by Ekta Kapoor like ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii.’ Kala appeared in the 1993 television series ‘Hum Bambai Nahi Jayenge,’ which was directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and also starred Irrfan Khan and Sanjay Mishra. Kala made his Bollywood debut in 2003 with a small role in Dhulia’s ‘Haasil.’ Later on, Kala went on to appear in several Bollywood films like ‘Agneepath,’ ‘Jab We Met,’ ‘Paan Singh Tomar,’ ‘PK,’ ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu,’ ‘Tubelight,’ ‘Ankhon Dekhi,’ ‘Mithya,’ ‘Zero,’ ‘Gulabo Sitabo,’ among others. The actor was last seen in the Vidya Balan starrer ‘Sherni’ and the Netflix family drama film ‘Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi.’
